Alluring landscapes, meandering riverbanks, and a sprawling reservoir are synonymous with one of Karnataka’s most popular tiger reserves – Kabini. Comprising pristine forests, this wildlife destination is at the top of the list for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers.
From majestic elephants, elusive leopards, and vibrant birdlife, Kabini is home to a rich and diverse range of flora and fauna. One of its most celebrated residents is the shy and famous black panther, a rare melanistic leopard that has captured the imagination of photographers and wildlife enthusiasts worldwide.
Kabini’s claim to fame, however, lies in its thriving tiger population. Known for their beauty and boldness, tigers are relatively easier to spot here compared to other tiger reserves in Karnataka. Dense thickets of bamboo and teak add to the ecological significance of the area and provide a safe haven for these magnificent big cats.
Among Kabini’s many attractions are its boat safaris.

Itinerary
The tour commences on Day 1 at Kabini at 1:00 PM and concludes on Day 3 at 11:00 AM.
Day 1:
- Arrive at Kabini by 1:00 PM and check into your comfortable cottage.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at 1:30 PM.
- Post-lunch, join a fun introductory session by the skipper on the forest and its inhabitants.
- Depart for your first game drive at 3:00 PM and explore the forest until 6:30 PM.
- Relax back at the lodge and gather at 8:00 PM by the campfire for jungle stories and photography tips.
- Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2:
- Early morning wake-up with a hot beverage and head out for your second game drive at 6:00 AM.
- Return for breakfast at the lodge.
- Embark on a boat safari on the Kabini River to witness birdlife and riverbank activity.
- Participate in an advanced photography session before lunch.
- Head out again for your third game drive in the evening.
- Return for another interactive session on photography followed by dinner.
- Overnight at the lodge.
Day 3:
- Early morning final game drive at 6:00 AM for one last chance to spot the stars of Kabini.
- Return for a hearty breakfast and a group photo.
- Depart with memories and stories at 11:00 AM, with a promise to return to this magical forest.
Cost
- All prices are exclusive of taxes. 5% GST is applicable.
- Patron pricing is applicable for guests who have travelled with us on at least three photography tours.
