The Royal Bengal Tigers of the Sundarbans are known for their ability to swim across tidal rivers and navigate the complex mangrove ecosystem. Sightings can be rare and thrilling, as these tigers have adapted to the challenging environment, often appearing along riverbanks or swimming through the water. Boat safaris in the Sundarbans provide a unique vantage point, allowing visitors to explore the dense forest while keeping an eye out for tigers and other wildlife like saltwater crocodiles, spotted deer, and various bird species.

Itinerary
The tour commences on day 1 at Kolkata at 7:00 AM and concludes on day 6 at Kolkata at 4:00 PM.
Day 1: Departure from Kolkata – Arrival at Sundarbans (Overnight in Sundarbans)
- Participants advised to arrive in Kolkata the night before (Day 0).
- Transfers from Kolkata (near the airport) start at 7:00 AM.
- Stop for breakfast en route and arrive at Gadkhali by 11:00 AM.
- Board the boat and begin the cruise to the lodge.
- Lunch served on the boat.
- Introductions and briefing by the Skipper.
- First short afternoon boating experience in the Sundarbans.
Day 2 to Day 5: Full Day Boat Expeditions (Overnight in Sundarbans)
- Start the day before sunrise.
- Breakfast and lunch served on the boat.
- Early morning boat rides to increase chances of tiger sightings.
- Full day exploring and photographing the mangrove forests and wildlife.
- Photography tips and strategies from the Skipper and guide.
Day 6: Return to Kolkata
- Sail back to Gadkhali jetty.
- Drive back to Kolkata.
- Expected arrival by 4:00 PM.
- Flights post 6:00 PM are recommended for onward travel.
Note: It is essential to check national park regulations as they may vary. Always follow your guide’s instructions for a safe and enjoyable experience.
Cost
- All prices above are excluding taxes. 5% GST would be applicable.
- Patron’s are guests who have travelled with us on at least three photography tours.

Inclusions:
- Stay at Sundarbans for five nights on a twin-sharing basis.
- All meals on the tour.
- Travel from Kolkata to Sundarbans and back in an AC vehicle.
